Remote position for a Licensed Clinical Counselor, will report to a Lead Psychologist and provide short-term therapeutic interventions (3 or fewer sessions) to Government Behavioral Health Providers. Responsibilities include gathering and reviewing intake data and other pertinent information, conducting clinical interviews and assessments with thorough risk assessments, determining diagnoses based on the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM), developing treatment plans, and documenting clinical assessments. All case contacts must be documented in SOAP format. When indicated, the Counselor will provide referrals to appropriate community resources, including outside mental health providers, support groups, and social services agencies, follow guidelines for child and vulnerable adult abuse reporting, and conduct follow-ups with clients and referral sources to ensure needs are met. Timely documentation of therapy and referral services must be completed, and cases must be closed within days of the last encounter.

Qualified candidates must possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling and hold a current, unrestricted license to practice mental health treatment and/or consultation from any U.S. jurisdiction with no pending adverse actions (such as suspensions, letters of counseling, restrictions to practice only with supervision, or revocations) before any licensing board or hospital credentials committee. Candidates must have three years of experience in mental health counseling or assessment, as well as three years of experience providing consultation on behavioral health-related matters, conducting clinical interviews and assessments, determining diagnoses based on DSM criteria, developing treatment plans, or conducting therapeutic interventions.
